Men's Golf Takes Fourth at Bud Elwell Invitational

FAIRVIEW, Pa. --- The Golden Eagles men's golf team finished up their second day at the Howard "Bud" Elwell Invitational on Tuesday, shooting a nearly identical score to the day before and finishing fourth overall in the field. Clarion recorded a round score of 326, just one stroke behind their Sunday round, and shot a 651 for the tournament.

Kameron Kerle had the best round of the day for Clarion, shooting a 76 on Monday to finish 13th overall in the field. Kerle climbed three spots on the leaderboard from Monday thanks in large part to a strong showing on the front nine, where he finished dead even at 36. Three bogeys on the front nine were offset by three birdies, including back-to-back birdies on the par five seventh hole and the par four eighth hole.

Devon Lauer finished one spot behind Kerle on the overall leaderboard, taking 13th place with a score of 84 on Monday. He made birdie on the par three second hole. Brady Houser had the second-best round of the day for Clarion, shooting an 82 that included a birdie on No. 5, while Preston Stoner rounded out the scoring with an 84 that included a birdie on his last hole of the day, the 13th.

Keith Hamilton competed for the Golden Eagles as well on Monday, shooting 90 as an individual.
