MORGANTOWN, W.Va. --- The divers of the Golden Eagles' men's swimming & diving team shined on the first night of the Mountaineer Diving Invitational, with four Golden Eagles cracking the top eight in a field made up of Division I competition.

The Golden Eagles placed four men in the 1-meter Dive finals, headlined by senior
Zach Schering's third place finish. He scored 294.35, putting him nine points ahead of teammate
Ethan Coronado's 285.75. Schering's best dive came on his last attempt, when he successfully executed an Inward 2 ½ Somersault Tuck for 60.45 points.

Coronado put up an identical score on the very same dive, scoring 60.45 on an Inward 2 ½ Somersault Tuck. He came up just shy of Schering's score, putting him in fourth place.

Less than two points behind Coronado in sixth place was
Michael Flamm, who posted a score of 284.15. His best score came on his fifth dive, when he up a 54.00 on a Forward 3 ½ Somersault Tuck. Rounding out the four Golden Eagles in the finals was
Zakary Kennedy, who logged a score of 282.70. He started things out with a 55.80 on an Inward 2 ½ Somersault Tuck.
