MORGANTOWN, W.Va. --- The divers of the Golden Eagles men's swimming & diving team concluded action on the second day of the Mountaineer Diving Invitational on Friday, with three Clarion athletes placing inside the top eight on the 3-meter board.

Once again competing in a field otherwise made up of Division I competition, the Golden Eagles had a strong night, putting three of their four competitors in the finals.
Zakary Kennedy led the way for the Golden Eagles with a third place finish, hitting a score of 324.70. At one point Kennedy executed three straight dives for scores of 58.50 or better, including a 58.90 on a Forward 3 ½ Somersault Pike.

Taking fourth place on Friday was
Michael Flamm, who logged a score of 300.35. His best dive of the finals came on his third of the list, when he scored a 61.60 on a Back 2 ½ Somersault Tuck.
Zach Schering placed sixth with a score of 294.45, including a 58.50 on his first dive of the night, an Inward 2 ½ Somersault Pike.

Ethan Coronado placed fourth in the consolation final, scoring 264.20.
