LOCK HAVEN, Pa. -- The Golden Eagles cross country team traveled to Lock Haven on Saturday for the NCAA Atlantic Regional Championship, placing 15th overall and putting two finishers inside the top 40.

Sophomore
Abigail Butera capped a successful sophomore campaign with another strong finish, leading the way for the Golden Eagles in the 6K race. Â She crossed the line in a personal best time of 22:29.9 to place 36th overall. Just two spots behind her was freshman
Raechel Braun, who finished 38th overall with a personal best time of 22:31.8.
Emmy Davis followed as the team's third best finisher, crossing the line at a personal best time of 23:09.4.

Jessica Shelderfer finished fourth on the team, running to a time of 24:06.1, and rounding out the top five for the Golden Eagles was freshman
Cheyenne Zeedyk. She crossed the line in a personal best time of 24:51.1. Rounding out the scoring for the Golden Eagles were freshman
Zoey Thomas and sophomore
Chesnee Williams, finishing with times of 25:46.2 and 26:33.5, respectively.
