CLARION, Pa. --- The divers of the Golden Eagles men's and women's swimming & diving teams kicked off their final weekend of competition before the NCAA Division II Championships on Friday, competing at the PA D-II Diving Invite in Tippin Natatorium.

On the men's side,
Zakary Kennedy won both the 3-Meter and 1-Meter 11-dive lists, while teammate
Jack Beattie won both six-dive events off those boards. Kennedy started the night on the higher board, scoring a 473.10 in the 3-Meter 11-dive list. His best dive of the event was his second, when he recorded 54.0 points on a Back 2 ½ Somersault Pike. Beattie, meanwhile, scored a 302.55 in the six-dive list, including a 54.60-point showing on a Forward 3 ½ Somersault Tuck.

On the 1-meter board, Kennedy finished with a score of 402.80. His most challenging dive of the event was one of his most productive, when he put up a score of 46.50 on an Inward 2 ½ Somersault Tuck. Beattie again won the six-dive event, scoring a 276.55. He had a pristine result to his Back 1 ½ Somersault 1 ½ Twist Free, scoring 50.0 points.

Michael Flamm took second in the six-dive lists on both boards. He was just a handful of points behind Beattie on the 3-meter board, scoring a 299.85, and he put up a 254.0 on the 1-meter board.

The women started things off on the 1-meter board, with
Alexa Gonczi winning the 11-dive event and
Luna Castellanos the six-dive event. Gonczi's best score came on her sixth dive, when she put up 52 points on a Forward 1 ½ Somersault 2 Twist Free.
Katie Madigan finished second in the 11-dive event with a score of 419.35 while
Taelyn Thomas was third with a 413.00. Castellanos won the six-dive event with a score of 251.00, including a 48.00 on her first dive, an inward 1 ½ Somersault Pike.
Colleen Hudson was second in the six-dive list with a 237.90.

Madigan was the winner of the 3-meter 11-dive list, posting a score of 463.20. Her best dive of the event was her sixth, when she scored a 57.40 on a Back 1 ½ Somersault 2 ½ Twist Free. Thomas took second in the 11-dive list with a score of 432.35. Gonczi won the six-dive event on the lower board, scoring a 302.20, while Castellanos put up a 301.00 and Hudson a 276.95.
