Golden Eagles Put Four on WBB Academic All-District

CLARION, Pa. --- College Sports Communicators announced their 2024-25 Women's Basketball Academic All-District selections on Tuesday. Four Golden Eagles – Siara Conley, Autumn Taylor, DayLynn Thornton and Hannah Wilkerson – all made the prestigious list this season, with Taylor also progressing forward to the Academic All-American ballot.
 
To be eligible for Academic All-District honors, a student-athletes must be a sophomore or older academically and in terms of their eligibility, must maintain a 3.50 cumulative GPA or better, and must have played in either 90 percent of their team's competitions or started 66 percent of their team's competitions.
 
First-, second- and third-team Academic All-America honorees will be announced April 16.
 
Conley (3.90 – Nursing) set career highs in games played in scoring in 2024-25 as she helped the team to their first PSAC Tournament appearance since the 20216-17 season. She scored a career-high 16 points against Shepherd on Dec. 7.
 
Taylor (3.67 – Communications) was a Second Team All-PSAC selection leading the Golden Eagles in scoring this year. Taylor ranked sixth overall in the PSAC and second in the PSAC West in scoring with an average of 15.7 points per game.
 
Thornton (3.63 – Exercise Science) appeared in all 29 games for the Golden Eagles this season, averaging 6.4 points and 2.0 rebounds per game in roughly 18 minutes per game. She logged a season-high 18 points in a win over Mansfield on Nov. 22.
 
Wilkerson (3.78 – Sport Management) saw time in 28 games this season, averaging 7.5 points and 3.1 rebounds per game. She went off for 30 points on the road at Shippensburg on Dec. 21, shooting 13-of-21 from the field.
