PITTSBURGH, Pa. --- Two more Golden Eagles hit PSAC qualifying marks on Saturday, highlighting the second day of the Carnegie Mellon Invitational in Pittsburgh.

Autumn Pettinato easily cleared the conference qualifying mark in the Javelin in her first outdoor action of the year. The senior threw the implement a distance of 38.05m to place fifth overall in the field and third among non-Division I competition, doing so on her fifth attempt of the day. It also stands as the second best throw of her career, behind her PR of 39.05m at the 2024 PSAC Outdoor Championships last season.

Also hitting a PSAC time on Saturday was
Abby Stitzer, who authored a fine follow-up to her indoor 800m performance with a qualifying mark in the outdoor race. Stitzer crossed the line in a time of 2:21.63, coming in under the time of 2:22.50 necessary for qualification.

The best placement in the running events on Saturday were the finishes in the 3000m, with
Abigail Butera and Jessica Shelderfer coming in third and fourth place in the field. Butera completed the 7.5-lap circuit in a time of 11:15.47, while Shelderfer was just seconds behind her at 11:24.57.
Chesnee Williams took 12
th in a time of 12:43.08.

Outside of Pettinato's finish in the Javelin, the best finish in the field came courtesy of
Emily Pleslusky. She took 11
th in the Pole Vault with a mark of 3.06m, putting her firmly in the top half of competitors overall in the field.
Delaney Yost hit a PR in the Triple Jump, posting a mark of 9.99m to take 19
th.
