LOCK HAVEN, Pa. --- Autumn Taylor became the first Golden Eagle women's basketball player to earn all-conference honors since 2023, when the sophomore guard was named Second Team All-PSAC West. Â
Â
The Golden Eagles' leading scorer in 2024-25, Taylor ranked sixth overall in the PSAC and second in the PSAC West in scoring with an average of 15.7 points per game. That represented an improvement of more than four points per game from her freshman season. She did much of her damage from beyond the three-point arc, ranking fourth in the PSAC with 59 total three-pointers made.Â
Â
Taylor showed the ability to explode for big games throughout the year. She started the year with five straight 20+ point games, including a 30-point effort against Lake Erie. Two games later she outdid herself with a career-high 31 points in an overtime win over Bloomsburg, and she eventually contributed 20 points in the team's playoff game at Seton Hill.Â
Â
In part because of Taylor's success, the Golden Eagle offense became one of the most effective in the conference. Entering this weekend's PSAC semifinals, the Golden Eagles rank third in the conference with an average of 71.8 points per game. Clarion ranked sixth with 5.8 three pointers per game.Â
Â
With Taylor leading the potent Golden Eagles' scoring attack, Clarion improved by leaps and bounds from last season to this one. The Golden Eagles enjoyed a 13-game turnaround under second year head coach
Danielle Fleming, reaching the first round of the PSAC Tournament for the first time since the 2016-17 season.Â
