NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. --- The Golden Eagles track & field team excelled in the field as well as in both the sprint and distance events, competing at the Westminster Invitational on Saturday afternoon.

The highlight of the day came in the 800m, where Stitzer led the field of more than 50 athletes and produced a new season-best time in the process. Stitzer broke the tape in the event with a time of 2:18.29, beating Grove City's Cayla Lawrence by more than a half-second and hitting a new outdoor PR.

Autumn Pettinato continued her impressive outdoor season with another strong finish in the Javelin. The senior took third place in the field with a mark of 37.20m, hitting her winning throw on her final attempt of the day.

Also posting a top-five finish in the field was
Emily Foster, who competed in the High Jump. The freshman hit a new season-high in the event, clearing the bar at a height of 1.50m to place fourth. That represented a best not just in outdoor competition but also would have been her best indoor jump as well.

Hope Bundash and Jessica Shelderfer posted a pair of top-10 finishes in the 5000m, finishing eighth and ninth respectively and crossing the finish line just three seconds apart. Bundash finished in a time of 19:38.17 while Shelderfer crossed in 19:41.02.
Abigail Butera not only finished in the top-five in the 1500m but she also hit a PSAC qualifying mark in the event as well, taking third overall with a time of 4:54.70.

Elsewhere in the distance events,
Paige Brewer crushed her previous performances in the 3000m Steeplechase, cutting close to a minute off her previous time to take fourth in the event. Brewer crossed the finish line in 12:37.52.

In the sprint events, the 4x100 Relay team of
Raegan Stader,
Ciara DiMauro,
Hannah Redwood and
Isabelle Snyder placed fifth in the field, logging a time of 52.32. Redwood went on to take 10
th in the 200m, finishing in a time of 26.86 that was fifth among non-Division I opposition. Likewise, the 4x400 Relay team of
Caleigh Aigler,
Breonna Buck, Butera and DiMauro placed fourth in the field with a time of 4:15.42.
