Men's Golf Finishes First Day at West Chester

WEST CHESTER, Pa. --- The Golden Eagles men's golf team started off a two-round challenge at the Edwin B. Cottrell Invitational on Monday, posting a team score of 324 over the course of the first 18 holes of the tournament. Clarion currently sits in 12th place overall in the field. 

Individually, Brennan Karalfa led the Golden Eagles with a round score of 78, tying him for 29th place in the field. He was dead even on the front and back nines with scores of 39 on each, including a birdie on the par four 15th hole. 

Hayden Siegel was just three strokes behind Karalfa, shooting an 81 that included a birdie on the par four eighth hole. He was especially sharp on the front nine, carding a 38 through nine holes. Chase Smith was one stroke behind him, posting an 82, and JP Tusai finished the round with a score of 83. 

Devon Lauer finished just one stroke off the scoring, carding an 84. 

Action will resume tomorrow at Penn Oaks Golf Club.
