Men's Golf Places 11th at Edwin Cottrell Invitational

WEST CHESTER, Pa. --- The Golden Eagles climbed a spot on the team leaderboard on a day when every team dealt with higher scores, finishing 11th overall at the Edwin B. Cottrell Invitational hosted by West Chester. Clarion posted a team score of 346, leapfrogging Bloomsburg and giving them a two-round score of 670 (324+346).
 
Brennan Karalfa once again posted the low score for the Golden Eagles, carding a round of 83 and placing 27th in the field with a two-day score of 161 (78+83). He closed things strong down the stretch, making par on five of the last seven holes of his round. JP Tusai posted an 87 on Tuesday and was also better on the back nine, recording a score of 41. He placed47th overall with a two-day score of 170 (83+87).
 
Chase Smith and Devon Lauer both posted identical scores of 88 in the second round, with the former recording the only birdie of the day for the Golden Eagles, He made a four on the par five 12th hole. Smith finished with a two-day score of 170 (82+88) while Lauer posted a 172 (84+88).
 
Hayden Siegel rounded out the five-man team for the Golden Eagles, shooting a 92. He finished the tournament one stroke behind those two teammates with a 173 (81+92).
