2025 softball academic all district honorees

Softball Lands Five on CSC Academic All-District

CLARION, Pa. --- The College Sports Communicators (CSC) announced their 2025 Academic All-District softball teams on Tuesday afternoon. Five members of the Golden Eagles softball program – Desi Allen, Jordy Best, Emily Buchleitner, Ainsley Perdicaris and Haylie Rimmey – were named to this year's team.
 
In order for a student-athlete to be eligible, they must have:
  • A minimum grade point average of 3.50 or better
  • Position players have competed in at least 90 percent of team games played OR have started at least 66 percent of the total number of team games played. For pitchers, players must pitch 35-plus innings or appear in 17 games as a pitcher.
 
Allen (3.77 – Speech Pathology & Audiology) had arguably the best season of her career in 2025, batting .337 with an OPS of .996. She led the team with 10 doubles and also smacked three home runs for 16 RBI.
 
Best (3.72 – Nutrition & Fitness) locked down the starting spot at catcher, making 39 starts behind the plate for the Golden Eagles. She posted an OPS of .872 that included six doubles, a team-high four triples and three home runs for 22 RBI.
 
Buchleitner (3.87 – Psychology) earned Second Team All-PSAC West honors at shortstop in 2024, driving in a team-high 25 runs over the course of the year. Midway through the year she became the program's all-time hits leader with her entire senior season to go.
 
Perdicaris (3.81 – Criminal Justice) was the Golden Eagles' most successful starting pitcher in 2025, winning six games with a team-high 97.2 innings pitched. She threw 10 complete games, including a shutout against California (PA) on April 24.
 
Rimmey (3.64 – Biology) split time between the outfield and the designated player spot in 2025. She batted .265 with four doubles, a home run and 12 RBI.
