Track & Field Heads to 2025 PSAC Outdoor Championships

SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. --- The 2025 Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference Outdoor Track & Field Championships kick off on Thursday, May 8 and run through the rest of the week, concluding on Saturday, May 10. This year's championships will take place on Slippery Rock's campus, at Mihalik-Thompson Stadium.

The Golden Eagles' involvement in the championships kicks off on the very first day of action, with Leah Perry and Madison Foringer competing on Thursday. Perry will be the first Clarion athlete to take part, competing in the Heptathlon for the final time in her collegiate career. Perry's score of 3779 in the event ranks 11th in the PSAC this year.

Foringer, meanwhile, will look to continue her terrific season competing in the Hammer Throw. The junior thrower set and broke her own school record in the event several times over the course of the year and enters the championships with a 10th place mark of 46.92m. An improvement of just one more meter would put her in striking distance of scoring at the event.

Action will continue on Friday, with Perry wrapping the Heptathlon and Emily Foster making her PSAC Championships debut in the High Jump. Action on the track that day will open with the 4x100m Relay prelims, with the Golden Eagles holding the 11th seed in the event: Isabelle Snyder, Ciara DiMauro, Hannah Redwood, Raegan Stader and Breonna Buck are all listed as possible competitors.

Also kicking off her weekend at the championships on Friday will be Abby Stitzer. The freshman mid-distance runner will compete in the 800m preliminary, looking to earn a spot in the Saturday afternoon final. Stitzer ranks fifth in the event in the conference thus far this year with a time of 2:18.29.

Saturday will see more Golden Eagles in action both on the track and in the field. Maddison Ho and Autumn Pettinato will compete in a pair of throwing events, with the former in the Shot Put and the latter in the Javelin. Abigail Butera will represent the distance team twice on Saturday, once as an individual in the 1500m as also as part of the 4x400m Relay Team. Also listed for the relay are Perry, DiMauro, Stitzer, Buck and Caleigh Aigler
