SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. --- Action resumed at the 2025 Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference Outdoor Track & Field Championships on Friday, with the Golden Eagles wrapping the second day of action with a finalist in the 800m.

Abby Stitzer earned a spot in Saturday afternoons 800m finals with a terrific run on Friday, breaking her own PR by roughly a half-second and moving into fourth place on the program's all-time performance list in the event. The freshman went essentially step for step with Lock Haven's
Nicole Carroll in the first preliminary heat of the event, crossing the finish line second in a time of 2:17.77. That stood as the second-best time among all competitors on Friday and made Stitzer one of just two athletes to finish in under 2:18.00.

Not only did Stitzer set a new PR with her finish, she also vaulted herself into fourth place on the program's all-time performance list in the outdoor 800m. She leapfrogged Debbie Brostmeyer (2:17.9) and Holly Urban (2:17.8) to take sole possession of fourth place on the program's performance list.

The day started with the final three events of the Heptathlon, with senior
Leah Perry gritting her way to the finish in the Long Jump, Javelin and 800m. Perry leaped a distance of 4.41m in the Long Jump and then took ninth in the Javelin, throwing the implement a distance of 23.41m on her second attempt. She finished off the event with a time of 2:59.17 in the 800m, putting her in 15
th place overall with a final score of 3513.

Elsewhere in the field,
Emily Foster competed in the High Jump, placing 19
th in the field by clearing the bar at a height of 1.46m. The 4x100m Relay Team of
Isabelle Snyder,
Ciara DiMauro,
Hannah Redwood and
Raegan Stader finished just shy of qualifying for the finals on Saturday, taking 10
th in the field with a time of 51.54.
