CLARION, Pa. --- The College Sports Communicators announced their 2025 Academic All-District Women's Track & Field / Cross Country teams on Tuesday. Five members of the Golden Eagles track & field and cross country teams –
Paige Brewer,
Maddison Ho,
Leah Perry,
Autumn Pettinato and
Emily Pleslusky – earned a spot for their academic and athletic accomplishments this year.
For a student-athlete to be eligible for Academic All-District honors in track & field and cross country, they must be at least a sophomore both academically and in terms of athletic eligibility and maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.50 or better. In addition, they must have placed in the top 50 in their region in at least one event.
Paige Brewer (3.75 – Exercise Science) finished her second season as a three-sport athlete, competing with the cross country, track & field and soccer programs at Clarion. She ranked 37
th in the Atlantic Region in the 3000m Steeplechase with a time of 12:29.51.
Maddison Ho (3.63 – Nutrition & Fitness) stood out for the Golden Eagles in the throwing events, ranking in the top 30 in the region in both the Indoor and Outdoor Shot Put. Her best throw of the year came on March 28, with a mark of 11.96m at the Carnegie Mellon Invitational.
Leah Perry (3.87 – Nutrition & Fitness) concluded her Clarion career as a multi athlete, ranking 14
th in the Indoor Pentathlon and 16
th in the Outdoor Heptathlon. She scored at the PSAC Indoor Track & Field Championships in the former, placing eighth with a score of 2992.
Autumn Pettinato (3.68 – Nursing) climbed the record books in the Javelin in 2025, placing fifth in the field at the PSAC Outdoor Track & Field Championships with a mark of 42.98m. Each of her first three throws in the event would have been a new PR, and the long toss on her third attempt ranks fifth on the program's all-time performance list.
Emily Pleslusky (3.72 – Nursing) easily cleared the regional mark necessary to qualify for the Academic All-District team, ranking 26
th in the Outdoor Pole Vault and 23
rd in the Indoor Pole Vault. She cleared a height of 3.17m indoors, second on the program's all-time performance list.
