CLARION, Pa. --- The College Sports Communicators (CSC) announced their 2025 Academic All-District baseball teams on Tuesday afternoon. Four members of the Golden Eagles baseball program –
Carter Barrett,
Caden Contant,
Ethan Giangiulio and
Brody Hinkle – were named to this year's team.
In order for a student-athlete to be eligible, they must have:
- A minimum grade point average of 3.50 or better
- Position players have competed in at least 90 percent of team games played OR have started at least 66 percent of the total number of team games played. For pitchers, players must pitch 35-plus innings or appear in 17 games as a pitcher.
Barrett (3.80 – Exercise Science) appeared in 17 games for the Golden Eagles, making six starts and throwing 46.2 innings. He went 3-4 with 42 strikeouts and a save, with the latter coming when he threw 2.2 innings of scoreless relief to close out Lock Haven on May 2.
Contant (3.83 – Nutrition & Fitness) concluded his Golden Eagle career as the team's all-time leader in games played (190) and games started (186). He slashed .257/.393/.463 for an OPS of .856, including 10 doubles, six home runs and 28 RBI.
Giangiulio (3.88 – Management) broke out in his sophomore campaign, hitting .301 with 10 doubles and one home run. He ranked second on the team in RBI with 30 runs driven in, putting him in a tie for ninth place on the program's single-season RBI list.
Hinkle (3.70 – Sport Management) split time between the outfield and first base over the course of the year, slashing .256/.422/.336 for an OPS of .758. His .422 on-base percentage was second on the team.
