Track & Field, Pettinato Recognized by USTFCCCA

CLARION, Pa. --- The United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association announced their 2025 All-Academic Team programs and individuals on Monday. The Golden Eagles were among those programs recognized for their academic accomplishments during the 2024-25 school year as an All-Academic Team, with senior thrower Autumn Pettinato also recognized as an All-Academic athlete.

To earn USTFCCCA All-Academic team honors, the cumulative GPA for all student-athletes on the roster must be higher than 3.0 on a 4.0 scale. The Golden Eagles boasted a cumulative 3.41 GPA during the 2024-25 academic year. Individually, Clarion had five College Sports Communicators Academic All-District selections this past season.

One of those individuals honored by the CSC was Pettinato, who earned USTFCCCA All-Academic Team individual honors. All-Academic Team honors go to student-athletes who maintain a minimum of a 3.25 GPA on a 4.0 scale, and that finished among either the top 50 individuals or top 35 relay teams in NCAA Division II. Pettinato ranked 34th in the nation in the Javelin, uncorking a career-best toss of 42.98m at the 2025 PSAC Outdoor Track & Field Championships.
