LOCK HAVEN, Pa. --- The Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference announced their men's basketball weekly award winners on Tuesday. Clarion's Trey Nelson earned PSAC West Athlete of the Week honors after the Golden Eagles earned conference wins against California (PA) and Pitt-Johnstown.
 
Playing all but three seconds of both games last week, Nelson put on a display in a pair of home games. he averaged 23.5 points and 9.0 assists per game in the wins, including a career-high 29 points against the Mountain Cats on Saturday. That game also saw him log 10 assists, with Nelson hitting double-digit dimes for a PSAC-leading fourth time this year; only two other PSAC players have done it as many times as once, with one of them being teammate Jeremy Thomas II. Nelson logged 18 points and eight assists in the win over the Vulcans on Wednesday.

Nelson ranks third in Division II in assists with 119 total, and fourth on a per-game basis with an average of 6.6 assists per game.  He ranks fourth in the PSAC with an average of 2.11 steals per game.
