CLARION, Pa. ---
The Baseball Collegian released their 2026 college baseball preview issue in January. Four Golden Eagles were listed among the players to watch, with
Randy Carlo,
Zach Kelly,
Tyson Gill and
Ethan Giangiulio earning mention in their annual preview.
Carlo was a force in the middle of the Clarion lineup in 2025, batting .335 with nine home runs, 37 RBI and a slash line of .335/.382/.551 for a .933 OPS. Playing primarily in the outfield, he logged 53 hits, 31 runs scored and seven doubles to go with his impressive power numbers.
Gill, on the other hand, proved to be an effective table setter for the Golden Eagles' order. He batted .324 with a team-best .438 on-base percentage, scoring a team-high 42 runs in the process. Gill was a threat on the basepaths, recording 20 steals on 22 attempts, and he contributed five doubles and four triples on the year.
Giangiulio had a breakout season himself in the order, batting .301 with a slash line of .301/.360/.385. He ranked second on the Golden Eagles with 30 RBI, tying for the team high with 10 doubles.

The newcomer to the group is Kelly, who transferred to Clarion from UMBC before the start of the 2025-26 school year. The senior righthander from Pittsburgh threw 12.1 innings last year with seven strikeouts, and is a veteran of 26 appearances and 27.1 innings pitched at Division I.
