LOCK HAVEN, Pa. --- The Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference announced their weekly women's basketball award winners on Monday. Clarion's Zoé Bayer earned PSAC West Athlete of the Week honors for Jan. 26 after sparking the Golden Eagles to a win over previously undefeated seventh-ranked IUP on Saturday.
Bayer scored all 16 of her points in the fourth quarter against the Crimson Hawks, including a stretch where she accounted for six straight points. That run saw Bayer score the go-ahead basket with 40 seconds to play, making it 74-73; IUP never again held the lead as Clarion snapped a 15-game losing streak to the Crimson Hawks that dated back to the 2016-17 season. Bayer went 7-of-8 from the field and also contributed three rebounds and two assists.
