YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio --- The Golden Eagles track & field team competed on the opening day of the YSU Mid-Major Invitational on Friday, including a PSAC qualifying time in the distance events.

Raechel Braun had her best distance performance of the season to date on Friday, setting a new PR in the 5000m and hitting a conference qualifying mark in the process. The freshman distance runner placed eighth overall in the field with a time of 18:42.9. That cleared the PSAC qualifying standard of 18:45.00.
Madison Foringer had an outstanding showing in the Weight Throw, placing seventh overall in the field and fifth among Division II competitors. The senior thrower tossed the implement a distance of 14.22m. That represented the best individual finish for any Golden Eagle athlete at the YSU Mid-Major Invitational on Friday.
 Elsewhere,
Autumn Stoken made her first career appearance in the Pentathlon, posting a score of 1,886. Her best finishes came in the running events, where she posted a time of 10.55 in the 60H and a 2:45.49 in the 800m.

Ariana Morrow was Clarion's top finisher in the Long Jump, hitting a mark of 4.36m. The Distance Medley Relay team took 12
th in the field with a time of 13:22.05.
