CLARION, Pa. --- The first night of the 2026-27 season saw six divers on the Golden Eagle women's swimming & diving team hit their first NCAA qualifying marks of the season, as Clarion competed at the Don Leas Invite in Tippin Natatorium.

It was a productive season opener for the Golden Eagles, with a half-dozen divers hitting the first of two necessary NCAA marks to earn a spot at the 2027 NCAA Division II Swimming & Diving Championships in March. Reigning 3-meter national champion Colleen Hudson hit marks in the 11-dive 1-meter and six-dive 3-meter events, while Alex Brumley, Kylie Brown, Katie Madigan and Taelyn Thomas did so in the six-dive 1-meter, 11-dive 1-meter and six-dive 3-meter events. Mya Lee rounded out the sextet by qualifying on the 1-meter board in the 11-dive event.

Brumley won the 1-meter board in the 11-dive event, posting a score of 456.53. Hudson took second with a score of 441.00, and Thomas rounded out the top three with her mark of 435.75.
