LOCK HAVEN, Pa. --- The Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference announced their weekly swimming award winners on Tuesday. Clarion's
Stella Chierico and
Dominic Cortopassi swept the weekly awards on Feb. 10, with Chierico winning Women's Swimming Athlete of the Week and Cortopassi taking Men's Swimming Athlete of the Week.

Chierico was the Golden Eagles' leading scorer in their women's dual meet win over Grove City on Saturday, winning both the 100 and 200 Back events and helping the 200 Medley Relay team to a second place finish. She touched the wall in the 100 Back in a time of 1:01.03, and followed that up with a winning time of 2:13.94 in the 200 Back. In the 200 Medley Relay, she opened the race with a time of 28.57 on her 50 Back segment.

Cortopassi set two pool records on Saturday, helping deliver a dual meet win for the men's team over Grove City in Clarion's final home meet of the 2025-26 season. He delivered a commanding performance in the 200 Free, taking the top spot with a time of 1:40.57, setting a new pool record in the process. He notched a second pool record in the 200 IM, touching the wall in 1:51.64 to claim first place and finishing nearly 10 seconds ahead of his nearest competitor.
