YORK, Pa. --- The Golden Eagles men's swimming & diving team kicked off action at the 2026 PSAC Swimming Championships on Wednesday, with three all-conference performances highlighting the first of four days at the Graham Aquatic Center.

Clarion posted 85 team points on Wednesday, putting them in fourth through one day.

In the 200 IM,
Dominic Cortopassi dropped nearly a full second off his time from the morning prelims and came within a third of a second of his best time of the season, taking second place in the event with a mark of 1:49.68. He led West Chester's Kolos Nagy after the butterfly leg to start, and he held off Gannon's William Retsch to take second place and earn All-PSAC honors in his first solo event of the championships.

Just missing out on all-conference status but hitting an NCAA B cut with the fastest time of his career was
Gavin Guckavan. Guckavan shaved nearly three-tenths of a second off his morning prelim time in the event, touching the wall in 20.35 to take fourth place in the field. That time came in just under the NCAA B cut mark of 20.36.
Jacob Rider also scored in the 50 Free, winning the B final and placing ninth overall with a time of 21.08.

Earlier on Wednesday,
Connor Hoy and
Kevin Santos both scored points for the Golden Eagles in the 1000 Free. Hoy just narrowly missed out on a top-eight finish, touching the wall in a time of 9:47.52 to take ninth place in the field. Santos, meanwhile, took the last scoring spot of the event, placing 16
th in a time of 10:01.66.

The Golden Eagles closed the night with a second place finish in the 800 Free Relay. The quartet of Cortopassi, Rider, Guckavan and
Mason Peck touched the wall in a time of 6:45.90, locking them into an All-PSAC performance.
