Track & Field Competes at Mount Union Tune Up

ALLIANCE, Ohio --- The Golden Eagles track & field team wrapped their indoor track & field regular season on Friday, competing at the Mount Union Tune Up.
 
In the High Jump, Emily Foster cleared the bar at a height good enough not just for a PSAC qualifying mark but for one of the best jumps on the program's career indoor erformance list. Foster tied for first place with a height of 1.58m, which tied the PSAC qualifying height and also pushed her into sole possession of fifth place on the program's all-time performance list. The previous mark of 1.57m was held by three athletes – Diane Kress, Lauryn Greggs and Sadie Leisinger.
 
Madison Foringer took second place in the field in the Weight Throw, with the senior from New Bethlehem tossing the implement a distance of 14.21m. That put her behind just Hiram's Angelina Weems. In the other throwing event, Zoey Grunthaner took 10th with a throw of 9.69m.
 
Elsewhere in the field, Delaney Yost placed fourth in the Long Jump with a mark of 4.86m. Ariana Morrow was seventh with a 4.67m mark. Yost also placed third in the Triple Jump with a 9.84m.
 
Raechel Braun won the 3000m, surpassing the closest competitor by a time of nearly 30 seconds. The freshman distance runner crossed the line in a time of 10:54.26, her second-best time of the season in the event. Emmy Davis, meanwhile, won the Mile run with a time of 5:31.47, with teammate Jessica Shelderfer taking sixth in a time of 5:47.63. Abby Stitzer won the 800m with a time of 2:24.29, followed by Cheyenne Zeedyk (4th – 2:36.31), Brooke Rumbaugh (5th – 2:41.87) and Taylor Bair (6th – 2:41.90).
 
Jaidynn Albers took fourth in the 1000m with a time of 3:48.93.
 
In the sprints, Brooke Sciullo took second place in the 400m with a time of 1:07.67, followed immediately by Autumn Stoken (1:10.12) and Breonna Buck (1:13.75). Raegan Stader took second in the 60m with a time of 8.24, her best of the season and the best for any Golden Eagle this year.
