Foringer's Record Highlights First Day at PSAC Indoors

BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- Madison Foringer broke her own school record in the Weight Throw and became the program's first-ever placewinner at the conference meet in the event, highlighting the first day of the 2026 PSAC Indoor Track & Field Championships on Saturday.

Competing in the final indoor championship of her career, Foringer came ready to perform, earning a spot on the podium and breaking her own school record in the process. On her very first attempt of the event Foringer threw the implement a distance of 14.78m, breaking her record of 14.75m set earlier this season at the YSU Icebreaker. It was the third-best throw through the first attempt and held up for the remainder of the event, putting Foringer in sixth place overall.

Foringer's sixth-place finish makes her the first Golden Eagle in program history to place in the Weight Throw at the PSAC Indoor Championships.

Clarion's first event on the track was the Distance Medley Relay, with the foursome of Raechel Braun, Abby Stitzer, Cheyenne Zeedyk and Emmy Davis just missing out on the podium themselves. That quartet placed 10th overall with a time of 13:01.32.

Braun went on to compete in the 5000m, along with Abigail Butera. Butera took 12th place in the field with a time of 18:39.25, while Braun was 16th in a time of 18:59.71.

Action will resume tomorrow at Rauch Fieldhouse.
