BARTOW, Fla. — The Golden Eagles (4-6) faced a challenging day on Tuesday, falling short in two games at the Miss Softball Complex. In their first matchup, Clarion battled hard but was edged out 6-5 by American International (1-4) in an extra innings nail-biter. Later, they faced Wayne State (Neb.), suffering a 14-3 defeat in five innings.

In the game against American International, the Yellow Jackets secured their win with a crucial play in the eighth inning. A key error by Clarion's shortstop allowed a runner to advance, setting the stage for the tying run. Morgan Bemon's timely double to center field then brought the runner home from third, sealing the victory for American Int'l.
Clarion showed early promise in this game, starting with
Alexis Valencia's single in the first inning. Valencia advanced to third on a passed ball and scored on an error.
Sami Springman's walk and stolen base kept the pressure on, allowing
Jordy Best to drive in a run with a single. The Golden Eagles evened the score in the third when
