CALABASH, N.C. --- The Golden Eagles women's golf team posted their second straight day of improvement on Saturday, finishing the Battle at Brunswick in sixth place. Clarion's third round was a weekend-best 344, giving them a three-round score of 1067 at Brunswick Plantation.

All four Golden Eagles that accounted into the scoring on Saturday shot below 90 in their final round, led by
Hannah Smith's score of 82. Smith posted no holes below par but largely avoided going over par, shooting a 40 on the front nine. That put her in a team-best 12
th place to close the weekend.

McKayla Kerle had the second-best round of the day for the Golden Eagles as she climbed two spots on the leaderboard to finish 20
th overall. Kerle shot a round of 85.
Kennady Norton was three strokes (on Saturday) and one spot (for the weekend) behind Kerle, posting an 88. Norton had the team's lone birdie, making four on the par five No. 11 hole.

Rylee Thompson rounded out Clarion's scoring on Saturday with a score of 89, her best of the weekend and enough to push her up four spots on the leaderboard to tie for 31
st.
Amber Roth rounded out the team entry with a score of 96.
