Castellanos, Calhoun Take CSCAA D-II Diving Awards

CLARION, Pa. --- The College Swimming & Diving Coaches Association announced their 2026 major award winners from this year's NCAA Division II Swimming & Diving Championships on Tuesday. For the fourth straight year, diving coach Heath Calhoun was named the Division II Women's Diving Coach of the Year, while senior Luna Castellanos was named the Division II Women's Diver of the Year for the third time in her four-year career.

Castellanos capped an amazing four-year career at Clarion by winning the national championship on the 1-Meter board and taking third place on the 3-Meter board in 2026. The win on the 1-Meter board was the fifth of her career, tying her for second place among divers in NCAA history for career national championships with another Golden Eagle, Kayla Kelosky.

With her third Women's Diver of the Year honor, Castellanos joins an elite club that includes only two other women, both Golden Eagles. Kelosky and Jamie Wolf are the only other women in NCAA history to win three Diver of the Year honors.

Calhoun, meanwhile, earned his fourth straight Women's Diving Coach of Year after another year where the Golden Eagle women dominated both boards. Of the four Clarion athletes that qualified this year, two – Castellanos and Colleen Hudson – won national championships. Of a possible eight All-America honors the Golden Eagles earned seven trips to the podium.

Clarion coaches have accounted for 19 CSCAA Division II Women's Diving Coach of the Year honors.
