CALIFORNIA, Pa. --- The Golden Eagles track & field team saw significant contributions from the distance squad in their second outdoor meet of the season, competing at the California (PA) Vulcan Early Bird Invitational.

In the 800m, the Golden Eagles' pair of "Abbies" –
Abby Stitzer and
Abigail Butera – crossed the finish line 1-2, with both easily clearing PSAC qualifying marks in the process. Stitzer finished just fractions of a second ahead of Butera, breaking the tape with a time of 2:19.03. Butera, meanwhile, set a new PR in the event with a time of 2:19.03.

Elsewhere in the distance events,
Emmy Davis set a new PR in the 1500m, placing eighth overall with a time of 5:08.43.
Paige Brewer took second in the small field in the 3000m Steeplechase, crossing the line in a time of 13:31.93.
Chesnee Williams Competed in the 5000m, taking sixth with a time of 21:20.14.

Emily Foster had the top finish in the jump events, taking second in the High Jump. She cleared the bar at a height of 1.55m, tying her outdoor PR and just shy of her overall PR of 1.59m set earlier this season at the PSAC Indoor Championships.
Delaney Yost took 14
th in the Long Jump with a mark of 4.84m, followed by
Ariana Morrow at 4.69m. Sciullo had the top finish in the Triple Jump at 10.07m.

In the throws,
Madison Foringer shined in the Hammer Throw, taking second place in the field. The senior threw a mark of 43.10m.
Zoey Grunthaner took eighth in the Javelin with a mark of 27.27m and 13
th in the Shot Put at 9.11m. She ultimately did triple duty on Saturday, taking 18
th in the Discus with a mark of 26.53m.

In the sprint events, the 4x400m Relay Team of
Breonna Buck, Sciullo,
Raegan Stader and
Autumn Stoken took fourth place with a time of 4:29.74. Stader was the top individual finisher for Clarion in the 100m, crossing the line in a time of 12.96m.
Hannah Redwood was not far behind, placing 12
th in 13.28. Stader was also the top placer in the 200m with a time of 27.77. Stoken added a top-10 finish in the 400m with a time of 1:04.58, followed by Sciullo at 1:07.12.
