WASHINGTON, Pa. --- The Golden Eagles men's golf team improved by 21 strokes in the second round of the Vulcan Fire Classic, shooting a 316 at Lone Pine Country Club on Tuesday. Clarion finished 11
th in the standings with a two-round score of 653 (337-316).

Brady Houser and
Preston Stoner both climbed up the leaderboard with identical scores of 77. Houser made three birdies in his round, including two in his first nine holes, and then made a four on the par-five No. 8 hole down the stretch. He shot a team-best 36 on the back nine.

Stoner, meanwhile, also made three birdies in his round. Like Houser he made four on the par-five No. 8 hole, and shot a 38 on the front nine – his final nine holes.
Kameron Kerle was just two strokes behind him with a score of 79, including a strong score of 39 on the back nine.

Devon Lauer rounded out the team scoring on Tuesday, posting a score of 83.
Jacob Danka rounded out the team entry with a score of 84, including back-to-back birdies on Nos. 7 and 8.
