LOCK HAVEN, Pa. --- The Pennsyvlania State Athletic Conference announced their weekly baseball award winners today. Clarion's Jon Fijalkowski earned PSAC West Athlete of the Week honors for March 9 after an outstanding four-game series in North Carolina last week.

Playing in his native Tar Heel State last week, Fijalkowski batted.500 and filled the stat sheet in games against Chestnut Hill and Mansfield. He slashed .500/.615/1.200 for an OPS of 1.815, going 5-of-10 with 10 RBIs, two home runs, one double and four runs scored. In the first game against Chestnut Hill he entered as a pinch hitter, going 1-for-1 with a three-run home run, a walk drawn and two runs scored. He smacked a three-run home run against Mansfield on Saturday, and went 2-for-4 with three RBI against Chestnut Hill in their second meeting of the weekend.
