INDIANA, Pa. --- The Golden Eagles men's golf team kicked off action at the Cecil Spadafora Invitational hosted by IUP on Tuesday, with Clarion checking in at 12^th in the team standings after 18 holes at Indiana Country Club. Clarion posted a team score of 324 on Tuesday.
 
Devon Lauer logged the best score of the day for the Golden Eagles, shooting a 78 that put him in 43^rd place in the overall field. Lauer recorded a pair of birdies, coming in at one-under on the par five No. 18 and on the par three No. 7 holes. One stroke behind him was Kameron Kerle, who made back-to-back birdies on No. 18 and the par five No. 1 hole en route to his score of 79.
 
Preston Stoner checked in at third on the team with a score of 83, while Brady Houser rounded out the scoring with an 84. He was the only Golden Eagle to birdie No. 14, a par four. Jacob Danka competed as an individual and shot an 80, including his own birdie on No. 7, while Tanner Miller filled out the team entry with a score of 89.
 
Action will conclude tomorrow at Indiana Country Club.
