CLARION, Pa. --- The Golden Eagle football team wrapped up their 2026 spring practice schedule with their annual Blue / White scrimmage, with the offense and defense both providing fireworks over the course of the session.

The defense kept the offense out of the end zone for the early portion of the practice, though the Golden Eagles' O eventually broke through with explosive plays.
Tyreeck Hall and
Kaevon Gardner carried the load on the ground, with Gardner pushing the pile for a rushing score late in the day.

Quarterbacks
Jase Ferguson and
Zach Switzer did damage with their legs as well, but the duo also connected on a handful of touchdown passes.
Kooper Kamberis,
Davon Jones and
Austin VanHuss were all part of the explosive output in the passing game.

The defense had their own sparks as well.
Jaiyson Lewis delivered a big hit to knock the ball loose from
Brock Beppler on one play, and
Kwame Frenchwood picked off a pass and returned it deep into opposing territory.

Midway through the scrimmage, head coach
Raymond Monica handed out awards to the team's Most Improved offensive and defensive players. Gardner was named the team's Most Improved offensive player, while
Najhir Kibidor was selected the team's Most Improved defensive player.
