WEST CHESTER, Pa. --- The Golden Eagles men's golf team saw improved scores nearly across the board on Tuesday afternoon, with Clarion finishing in 12
th place at the Edwin B. Cottrell Invitational hosted by West Chester. Clarion posted a team score of 315 in the second round of the tournament, marking a 17-stroke improvement.

The best round of the day belonged to
Preston Stoner, who climbed 33 spots on the leaderboard to finish 22
nd overall in the tournament. Stoner shot a round of 73 that included one birdie – on the par five No. 12 hole – and just four bogeys. That put him at three over par for the day.

Brady Houser was just one stroke behind Stoner on Tuesday, shooting a 74 to jump 30 spots on the leaderboard and finish 25
th. Stoner recorded two birdies, one on the par four No. 4 hole and another on the par three No. 16 hole, and was money on the back nine, shooting dead even over his last nine holes.

Placing third on the team on Tuesday was
Kameron Kerle. The freshman posted a score of 83, including his own birdie on No. 12, while
Tanner Miller was fourth on the team with a score of 85.
Devon Lauer rounded out the team entry with an 86, including a birdie on No. 9.
