Carlo Earns NCBWA All-Region Honors

CLARION, Pa. --- The National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association announced their 2026 all-region honorees on Friday. Clarion's Randy Carlo earned First Team Atlantic Region honors at first base after the senior logged a historic season in the Blue & Gold.

Carlo had a season for the record books in 2026, breaking the program's single-season records for home runs and RBIs. The senior smashed 13 home runs, breaking the record of 11 set by Scotty McManamon in 2023, and his 62 RBI far surpassed the total of 47 recorded by Kevin Gledhill in 2004. He also broke the single-season record for total bases (113). With a slash line of .404/.497/.724, Carlo became the first Golden Eagle to hit .400 or better in a season since Tony Petulla (.444) in 2004, and his .724 slugging percentage is third for a single season in program history. He also ranks second all-time in runs scored (42) and hits (63) in a single season.

Among his Atlantic Region peers, Carlo ranked first with 62 RBI and 113 total bases. He ranked eighth in the region with a .404 batting average, his 13 home runs ranked third in the region, and his .724 slugging percentage ranked second.

Carlo is the first Golden Eagle to earn NCBWA All-Region honors since Scotty McManamon was named to the Second Team at shortstop in 2023. Prior to that, the most recent Golden Eagles to earn NCBWA honors were Jon Kemmer (outfield) and Ken Morgan (catcher) in 2012, both on the Second Team.
