Carlo Nabs Second First Team All-Region Honor

CLARION, Pa. --- Less than a week after earning All-Region honors from the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association, Clarion's record-breaking first baseman Randy Carlo earned another such honor, as the Division 2 Conference Commissioners Association announced their Atlantic Region All-Region teams on Monday. Carlo was voted D2CCA First Team All-Region.

Carlo had a season for the record books in 2026, breaking the program's single-season records for home runs and RBIs. The senior smashed 13 home runs, breaking the record of 11 set by Scotty McManamon in 2023, and his 62 RBI far surpassed the total of 47 recorded by Kevin Gledhill in 2004. He also broke the single-season record for total bases (113). With a slash line of .404/.497/.724, Carlo became the first Golden Eagle to hit .400 or better in a season since Tony Petulla (.444) in 2004, and his .724 slugging percentage is third for a single season in program history. He also ranks second all-time in runs scored (42) and hits (63) in a single season.

Among his Atlantic Region peers, Carlo ranked first with 62 RBI and 113 total bases. He ranked eighth in the region with a .404 batting average, his 13 home runs ranked third in the region, and his .724 slugging percentage ranked second.
