LOCK HAVEN, Pa. --- The Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference announced their volleyball weekly award winners on Monday. Clarion's Cara Vandeborne earned PSAC West Defensive Athlete of the Week honors after helping the Golden Eagles to a 4-0 weekend at the Tony Banner Memorial Tournament.
 
Vandeborne had an exciting debut in the Blue & Gold, leading a potent net defense for the Golden Eagles in a perfect weekend in Tippin Gymnasium. The freshman middle averaged 1.47 blocks per set in four matches, the best average in the PSAC over the season's opening weekend. The high water mark came in the Golden Eagles' five-set win over Daemen on Saturday, when Vandeborne logged nine total blocks.
