CLARION, Pa. --- The International Women's Soccer Organization for Coaches released their first United Soccer Coaches regional ranking of the 2026 season, with the Golden Eagles soccer team checking in at ninth in the Sept. 1 poll.

Clarion opened the season with a 2-0 weekend at home, beating Ursuline 2-1 on Thursday before shutting out California (PA) 2-0 on Saturday. The Golden Eagles rallied from a 1-0 deficit in the first game of the week, scoring a pair of unanswered goals in the second half to top the Arrows. Later in the week the Golden Eagles pitched a shutout on their home field, defeating the Vulcans behind another pair of second half goals.

The Golden Eagles will resume action this week with more conference play, starting with a game at Gannon on Wednesday, Sept. 2. They return home to host Pitt-Johnstown on Saturday, Sept. 5.
