LOCK HAVEN, Pa. --- The Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference announced their weekly football award winners on Monday. For the second time this season Clarion's Ty Woods earned PSAC West Special Teams Athlete of the Week honors, after the senior had an exceptional day in the Golden Eagles' win at Lackawanna.
 
Woods was once again perfect in the kick game on Saturday, helping the Golden Eagles to a 59-13 win over the Falcons on the road. Woods was a perfect 8-for-8 on extra point attempts and made his lone field goal attempt, booting a 42-yarder with 5:46 remaining in the fourth quarter. Woods was only called upon to punt once on Saturday and made it count, hitting a 40-yard punt and landing it at the 8-yard line. 
 
Through three games this season, Woods is 17-of-17 on extra point attempts and 2-of-2 on field goal attempts. He ranks eighth in the PSAC in yards per punt at 40.9 yards, with four of his nine punts landing inside the 20-yard line. None of Woods' punts have gone for a touchback.
