MEADVILLE, Pa. --- The Golden Eagles women's golf team climbed one spot on the team leaderboard after the second round of the Guy & Jeanne Kuhn Memorial Invitational, finishing in eighth place overall in the tournament at the Country Club of Meadville. Clarion finished two strokes behind their previous day's pace with a 348, giving them a two-day score of 694 (346-348). 

For the second straight day McKayla Kerle and Hannah Smith tied with identical round scores, with the pair both shooting 85 on Monday for two-round marks of 166 (81-86). That tied them both for 21st in the field. Kerle made birdie on the first hole of the back nine, carding a three on the par four No. 10 hole, while Smith shot a 42 on the back nine to fuel her score. 

Rylie Quaiser made a two-stroke improvement on her performance from the first round, shooting an 87 to finish just two strokes shy of Smith and Kerle. She recorded one birdie on the day, making four on the par five No. 3 hole. Amber Roth rounded things out with a score of 91, representing a four-stroke improvement on her previous round's score of 95. Ashlee Albright also sliced off strokes from her previous day, shooting an even 100.
