Spectator Policy (as of Jan. 5, 2021)
Clarion University and the Department of Intercollegiate Athletics want to provide a safe atmosphere for student-athletes, coaches and fans at home athletic competitions in 2021. As a result, we are implementing the following policies and procedures:
- Entrance will be limited to family and friends designated by event participants from competing teams ahead of a scheduled competition, with the total number of non-participant spectators dependent upon remaining available capacity after including event participants, coaches and staff. Fans not designated on a participant’s list will not be allowed entry at this time.
- Upon arrival at Tippin Gymnasium, spectators will be asked to provide government-issued identification to confirm their identity, as well as the state from which they are traveling. Children under the age of 18 must arrive with a parent or guardian with the required identification. All spectators arriving from outside the state of Pennsylvania must also provide proof of a negative COVID-19 test from within 72 hours of the date of competition.
- Spectators will be required to wear a mask throughout the entirety of their time on Clarion’s campus, and will be required to socially distance their group from other groups when seated in the arena.
- Any spectators experiencing symptoms similar to those of COVID-19 are asked to please refrain from attending the competition.
