Clarion Athletics

Clarion University and the Department of Intercollegiate Athletics want to provide a safe atmosphere for student-athletes, coaches and fans at home competitions in spring 2021. As a result, we are implementing the following policies and procedures: 
 

• In compliance with capacity guidelines set forth by the Pennsylvania Department of Health, there will be a limited number of spectators allowed at indoor & outdoor events in spring 2021. Entrance will be limited to family and friends designated by event participants ahead of a scheduled competition, with the total number contingent upon available capacity for a given date. 
• Visiting teams will receive a pass list 72 hours prior to their scheduled competition and are asked to return this document to Joe Lopez (jlopez@clarion.edu) 24 hours prior to the event. 
• Upon arrival at Clarion University’s athletic facilities, spectators will be asked to provide their driver’s license to confirm their identity, as well as the state from which they are traveling.
• Any spectators experiencing symptoms similar to those of COVID-19 are asked to please refrain from attending the competition. 
• Spectators will be required to always wear a mask and socially distance. It is important to recognize that our responsibility as the host institution is to keep student athletes, coaches, athletic trainers, physical therapists, medical staff, equipment staff and officials separate from other individuals. 
• Spectators who ignore this protocol will be removed from the event and forfeit their opportunity to come to future events. 

 
For those unable to attend the competitions in person, Clarion offers free live video streams of all Golden Eagle home competitions in Tippin Gymnasium. Fans can watch through their streaming device with the free Golden Eagle Vision App, available on Amazon Fire TV, Android TV, Apple TV and Roku systems, or on desktop/mobile at portal.stretchinternet.com/clarion.
