Dylan Reinsel

Dylan Reinsel, a 2014 Clarion graduate and former member of the Golden Eagle men’s golf team, was been named the second women’s golf coach in program history on Feb. 23, 2016.  Reinsel came to Clarion asthe successor to Marie Gritzer, who coached the program for eight years before retiring in the fall of 2015.

“We’re very excited to welcome Dylan back to Clarion and as part of our athletics staff,” said Katis.  “With his experience as a student-athlete here, we believe he will be an excellent fit for our program as we look to move forward in 2016 and beyond.”

“I’m really excited about the opportunity,” said Reinsel.  “Having been a part of the men’s golf team at Clarion, I’m thrilled to have the chance to come back and help build the women’s golf program.

“I’d like to thank Mr. Katis for giving me this opportunity,” said Reinsel.

Reinsel earned a Bachelors of Secondary Education from Clarion in 2014 and since that time has served as a substitute teacher in the area.  He worked as a volunteer golf coach for Clarion Area High School this past fall and has been an assistant coach on the wrestling team since November 2014.  Before that, he was a volunteer assistant wrestling coach in 2010 and again from 2012-13.

While at Clarion, Reinsel was the men’s golf team’s representative to the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) from 2012-13.  A four-time Clarion Scholar-Athlete honoree, Reinsel was an accomplished golfer as well; in his senior season, he took second place at the Hansen Invite held at Clarion Oaks with a two-day score of 146 (+2).
