Blake Robles

  • Title
    Intern Coach
Blake Robles is entering his first year as a graduate assistant coach for the Golden Eagles.  He will work primarily with the Golden Eagle quarterbacks in 2016.

Before coming to Clarion, Robles worked with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers of the National Football League in their Football Development Department.  Before that he enjoyed a brief professional career overseas, serving as the quarterback and offensive coordinator of the Nimes Centurions (France) as well as the offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach for the Monchengladbach Wolfpack (Germany).  In those roles Robles prepared and developed practice and game plans for the offensive skills positions, while also running weekly programs at local schools to raise awareness of the sport of football.

Robles has also spent time working with and developing quarterbacks in his hometown of Tampa.  He spent nine years at the Lutz Sports Complex in Florida, training 20 quarterbacks from different parts of the Tampa region.  Following the example of former NFL quarterback Steve Deberg, he aided in coordinating drills and provided demonstrations of proper technique.

Robles was a Sports Information Intern at Eureka College in 2014, earning his Bachelor of Arts in Communications in December of that year.  As a football player at Eureka, Robles was an All-Upper Midwest Athletic Conference quarterback in 2013 and a preseason Division III Third Team All-American.  He is the third-leading passer in total yards for a career at Eureka and set the program record for completions (215).
