Rocco Yauger

    Graduate Assistant Coach (Linebackers)
Rocco Yauger enters his second season as a graduate assistant coach with the Golden Eagles, and will continue to work with the linebacker corps in 2020. 

A number of young linebackers made significant strides under Yauger in 2019, with Amari Johnson and Kareem Hamdan ranking among the leading tacklers on the team. Johnson ranked fourth on the team in tackles with 49 stops in just nine games, while Hamdan came on near the end of the year to post 43 tackles and 5.0 tackles for loss.

Before becoming a member of the Golden Eagle coaching staff, Yauger served in the United States Marine Corps (USMC) as an officer.

As a player, Yauger was a four-year letterwinner for the Golden Eagles and finished with 258 career tackles, 10.5 tackles for loss and two forced fumbles. He earned a Bachelor's degree in Sociology in 2015 and is currently pursuing a Master's degree in Kinesiology and Exercise Science.
