• Took over as the starting quarterback early in the season, ultimately battling injury to make eight starts on the year
• Completed 91-of-179 passes for 938 yards, three touchdowns and five interceptions
• Team's second-leading rusher with 69 carries for 335 yards and five touchdowns
• Ultimately led the team with seven combined rushing and receiving scores, and in fact led the team with two receiving touchdowns
• Made his Clarion debut in the second half against West Liberty (9/1)
• Led the Golden Eagles to their first win of the season against Lock Haven, completing 14 of 18 passes for 228 yards and two touchdowns, while also rushing nine times for 37 yards and a score (9/17)
• Helped Clarion to road win at Seton Hill with 41 rushing yards and a ground score, as well as two catches for 39 yards and two receiving touchdowns (10/8)
• Contributed to the road win at Mercyhurst by going 13 of 20 for 112 yards, as well as carrying the ball 10 times for 65 yards and a touchdown (10/15)

2021 (Saint Francis): Appeared in three games for the Red Flash... made his season debut against Eastern Michigan (9/3).

2020 (Saint Francis): Season canceled due to COVID-19 pandemic.

2019 (Saint Francis): Appeared in two games during his freshman season... made collegiate debut on special teams at Central Connecticut (11/9).

High School: Helped Elizabeth Forward to back-to-back conference championships in 2017-18... three-time all-conference selection (2016-18)... finished his high school career with more than 3,000 passing yards and 50 passing touchdowns... owns school records for most passing touchdowns in a single game and in a season... also owns school's single-game passing yards record... voted school's Male Student-Athlete of the Year in 2019.

Personal: Full name is Zachary James Benedek... son of Jim and Renae Benedek... has two brothers, Matthew and James... also has two sisters, Kelsey and Annie. He also is dating Emma Fleck, "the best girlfriend in the world".
