Clarion Athletics

Andrew Hale, a former all-conference performer at Shippensburg, became the assistant coach for the Golden Eagles' men's and women's swimming & diving programs in June 2025. He enters his first year with the team in the 2025-26 season.
 

Prior to coming to Clarion, Hale spent two years as a graduate assistant coach at PSAC rival Millersville. Hale played a hand in some of the best performances in Marauders history, coaching athletes to 10 school records and nine pool records over the course of two seasons. The Marauders improved their standing at the PSAC Championships in Hale’s tenure, finishing fifth in 2025 just behind the Golden Eagles. 

Hale enjoyed a stellar swimming career as a student-athlete at Shippensburg from 2018-23. He was a 16-time PSAC individual place winner and a six-time All-PSAC honoree. He was a part of six relay teams that placed at the PSAC Championships. He competed at the conference championships in six different individual events.  
 
 

Hale graduated from Shippensburg in 2023 with a bachelor's degree in history/social studies and minors in coaching and exercise science. In May 2025 he earned his Master of Education in Sport Management from Millersville, with a concentration in athletic coaching.
