TWO LATE GOALS BY MILLER HELP CLARION TIE SLIPPERY ROCK

Jill Miller

Box Score

CLARION-Two goals by senior Jill Miller late in the second half led Clarion to a 2-2 tie against conference opponent Slippery Rock Saturday night.
Clarion was down 1-0 after the first half of the game, and then The Rock put another point on the board early in the second half to extend their lead to 2-0.
With only four and a half minutes left in regulation, Miller put in Clarion's first goal with the assist by Gabby Gray.
Just over a minute later, Miller again put the ball in the back of the net on what head coach Rob Eaton called, “probably the best goal I've seen live by a collegiate soccer player in my fifteen years as a coach.”
The SportsCenter worthy bicycle kick goal came from a pass from Kristen Scheutzow.
Goalkeeper Jenna Kulik made nine saves on the night.
The tie puts the Golden Eagles at 3-3-3 overall, and 3-1-2 in the PSAC.
Clarion will be on a three game road span before hosting Mansfield on Saturday, October 16 at Memorial Stadium for a 1pm start.
