Ben Fiscus (Indiana) passed for 4 td's and ran for 1 and senior receiver
Jacques Robinson (Pgh – Oliver) set a new career catches record (196) as the Golden Eagles defeated Lock Haven 49-6 on Saturday night.
Clarion upped its record to 1-5 overall and 1-2 in the PSAC-West, while Lock Haven dropped to 0-6 overall and 0-3 in the West.
Fiscus, in his first career start, completed 16 of 16 passes for 187 yards and 4 td's, plus ran 10 times for 78 yards and 1 score. The 100% completion percentage (16 of 16) is a Clarion single game record.
Robinson had 7 catches for 84 yards and 1 td. His 7 catches gave him 196 in his 4-year career, passing former All-America receiver Alvin Slaughter (1995-98) who had the record at 195.

Clarion wasted little time getting on the board for a 7-0 lead.
Andrew Paronish returned the opening kickoff to the LH 33 yard line, and on the first play from scrimmage Fiscus ran up the middle 33-yards for the touchdown at the Golden Eagles led 7-0 at 14:42.
The next score was setup by the special teams when freshman safety
Jay Pettina blocked a Lock Haven punt that was recovered at the LH 19. Three plays later
Alfonso Hoggard dashed 10 yards to paydirt and Clarion led 14-0 at 11:45 of the first.
After a short punt put Clarion at the 50, the Golden Eagles needed only 6 plays to score. Fiscus hit a 24-yard pass to
Craig Bunney to the LH 6, and two plays later, Fiscus rolled right and hit tight end
Anthony Becoate in the right corner of the endzone for a 7-yard td.
Robert Mamula's PAT was good and Clarion led 21-0 with 3:56 left in the first.
Clarion drove 77 yards in 8 plays for their next score. Fiscus hit Robinson for 24 yards in the drive to the LH 26, Hoggard scampered 11 yards to the 15, and Fiscus rolled left and hit Becoate in the endzone for his second td pass of the game giving the Eagles a 28-0 lead at 13:30 of the first.

Andrew Paronish intercepted a Jarryd Burkett pass at the Clarion 38 to help setup the Eagles next score. After a 2-yard run from Hoggard, Fiscus ran for 25 yards to the LH 36. A 4-yard rush from Fiscus was followed by a 7 yard pass from Fiscus to Hoggard to the LH 25. Hoggard, on a draw handoff, headed up the middle for 10 yards, then cut back to the left and raced into the endzone for a td and a 35-0 Clarion lead at 5:40 of the second.
Clarion made it 42-0 at the half when Fiscus tossed a 5-yard td pass to
Craig Bunney with 51-seconds left before intermission.
Clarion drove 51-yards in 5 plays for a touchdown in their first possession of the third quarter, all passes from Fiscus to Robinson. The finale was a 4-yard touchdown pass on a post route, which also served as the record setting catch for Robinson. Clarion led 49-0 with 10:47 left in the third and freely subbed in the third quarter. Robinson now has 196 career catches for 2,302 yards and 16 td's.
Lock Haven scored on a 39-yard pass from Burkett to Jay Hartman with 3:17 left in the game.
Clarion totaled 376 yards in the game including 171 rushing and 205 passing.
Fiscus was 16 of 16 for 187 yards and 4 td's and ran for 78 yards and 1 td. Hoggard had 10 carries for 57 yards and 2 td's, while Robinson had 7 catches for 84 yards and 1 td. Becaote grabbed 3 aerials for 42 yards and 1 td.
Clarion's defense was led by Paronish who had 7 tackles and 1 interception, while
Barrington Morrison had 6 tackles, 3 tfl's and 2 qb sacks. The defense sacked LH qb's 6 times.
LH had 221 yards including 87 rushing and 134 passing. Burkett completed 13 of 24 passes for 134 yards and 1 td. Hartman caught 4 passes for 66 yards and 1 td.
Clarion will travel to Indiana next Saturday for a 1pm start.
